This summer my family did the second part of our fabulous church history by going to Nauvoo. We started in St. Louis and then drove the rest of the way in a fifty billion person seater rightfully named the "plig rig" or "stormin mormons". Whichever you prefere. Jess and Randon (sis and bro in law) missed their flight so the rest of the family did some sight seeing in St. Louis while waiting for them.
I'm taking the picture so imagine I'm there but we visited the amazing bridge to the west deal. It was pretty dang cool we actually went up to the top and it was windy so the top was tipy. Talk about vertigo. So we went up there and to the museum underneath and needless to say with my family there is bound to be some sort of mischief. This time i told my brother, Braiden, to get really close to this stuffed horse that was eating hay and act like he was eating it as well. Turns out that is frowned upon. The museum cop lady got
after him haha. oops. But i was able to snap
a picture before we were yelled at.
By the way the sign says "Please do not touch. Only real animals can grow hair". How true that is..... Anyways here is a picture of us (my mom is taking the picture) in the top part.
We all look really scared, probably because we are. But it was way fun. Once Jess and Randon met up with us we all piled into the good old van and headed to Nauvoo. Once we got there at probably three in the morning we all shuffled into the cute
little cottage and went to sleep. The next day we
went to all the places like Carthage Jail. It was no doubt one of the coolest things ever. My family
was able to sit in the room that Joseph Smith w
as killed in and just talk. It was a really cool thing that my family got to do.
Please notice Randon's hairstyle please. Jess always begs him to do his hair and when he does it is always to mock her. You think she would learn. Then again you think he'd just do his hair. Well i learned some very cool stuff there that i will always remember. The next day early in the morning me, Kylee, Braiden, Maddy, and Abbey all tended Easton our cute new addition to our family while Jess, Randon, and my mom and d
ad went to the temple. Once they got back me, Braiden, Kylee, and Maddy went to the temple also.
In the big van there are problems such as long drives and big water bottles. Actually i wish he peed his pants. I actually tripped getting into the van and he was there to get the grunt of it. good thing my mom always taught me to screw the top of my bottle back on my water. Good thing i listen. To sum this long thing up i just am glad that my parents had us go here. I am so grateful that my family can get along and we all have the want to go there. I am grateful that my dad is so smart in airport stuff so that we can get through fast. not even joking. i am so grateful for my awesome family!!! they are the bestest friends i can have we all just laugh and laugh when we are together and i am so glad!!!
