On The Way Home

Once Station and I did all we could in San Diego, we drove up to a hotel near Six Flags so we could visit there the next day. On the way we stopped at each beach we could find. We stopped at a few, but didn't swim. We were sad that we didn't end up swimming at Huntington Beach since we loved it the most. It was the coolest one. We also JUST missed the US Open, which would have been busy, but sweet. We were just happy to take our new found love of Smash Ball and play it while watching all of the amazing volleyball players. We also went to Ruby's, which was out on the pier at the very end. The day was super foggy so we were walking around, hungry, and wondering why Google Maps was telling us to go to the middle of the ocean to find the restaurant. We finally just decided to check out the pier and BAM there it was. Another thing on the pier that I didn't take a picture of was all of the masked Asians fishing. I don't even want to know who they sell their fish to, but that was a really weird thing.

We also stopped at Malibu. I honestly thought I would find Malibu Barbie - type women running around in their shiny red cars. But the place was super small town feeling. We didn't even think we were in the right place. We decided to climb up to the top of the hill to watch the sun set. Since Station had to go to the bathroom, I (all-of-the-sudden) had to as well. But I am not as lucky as Station, I had nowhere to go. We would walk a few feet up the hill and I would have to fall to the ground in uncontrollable pain until I could stand up and walk two more steps. I am finding it harder and harder to not let myself just pee my pants as I get older (which isn't weird at all). Once we got up to the top I was losing so much control that we didn't even get to watch the sun set (Loser Wife Award). We drove on until we got to the hotel and that ends that day.
