California

Station and I made a sort of last minute decision that going to California would be beneficial to end our summer of freedom off with a big bang. Luckily, Station's gracious uncle let us crash their beautiful home in San Marcos while we lived our dream of being residents of such a swanky place, with great weather to boot.

The first day we just relaxed after our long drive and went to the beach to watch the sunset. so dreamy. Then the next day we decided to drive up to Newport Beach. The parking was a bit troubling at first, but once we got to the place we wanted to be, it was great. We hung out for a long time until our parking meter time was up. At that point we had to run to our car to make sure it didn't get ticketed. Once we got there Station realized that he hates sand... he decided to run back to the beach to wash it off while I kept watch.

Finally, we left the beach and drove around looking for a skate park that Station's friend said to go to. It was sketchy for Newport area, but nothing us Salt Lakers couldn't handle. Station got to skate around while I warded off creepy looks from the lurkers by looking like a wet cat that was dragged out of the ocean, because I was.

We then drove back to San Marcos and slept like peaches. And that ends the first day. Once we get internet I won't space each day out because we were there for a long time folks!
