First. I am in no "land" of anyone. So none of that. Now that I have that out of the way, I will move on to other things such as my events of my life.
Last Sunday I decided that I wanted to go see the new autumn leaves, so Station and I went up to the canyon to look at them. Unfortunately, we were a little late in getting up there so it was dark by the time we got up there so we hiked up the steepest mound of my life and sat and watched the Herriman fire. While I am sure that Station was totally content in where we were, I was sure that the fire was blocking off our exit and that we were going to have to stay up there all night and end up fried from the fire. But we got out. Thank goodness that that fire is done.
{A drive by shot, along side the other humans sitting and watching it burn}
Yesterday, was also an eventful day. Station ran a marathon in South Jordan, which he decided that he was never going to run one ever again. Right. He then told me that it was my job to talk him out of ever doing one again. Right. I can't handle that kind of pressure. But I said okay because he told me before that he is usually ornery after a long run. So there was no way I was about to start any problems.
Anyway. Before I met up with him I went over to the finish line around eleven o' five. Thinking that I would be late and have him standing there tapping his foot at me for not being there snapping photos. He wasn't. So I sat down and watched lots of people go through and found out that none of them were the full marathoners. Turns out they were late starting because of there being only two buses. Perfect. But now I am dying for food and I don't want to leave in case they all start coming in. So I sat there. Hungry. and going crazy from those stinking wild children with runny noses and ugly faces. I may have been delusional. Then I look over at a group of kids that were in a circle kickingand throwing their trash at something on the ground. Then one of the kids said, "look at the snake!". Gross. Those kids are for real going to get semolina. It was dead too. Even grosser. However, it was funny to see them play around with that and thought about taking pictures, but then decided against being put on the sex offender registry at age 20. Or age ever. As I was laughing at them, I sat down and turned my head and saw this little bugger staring at me.
{it looks alive, but it isn't}
Grossest. I had to quickly stand up and do a quiet little shake without creating any attention. Guhh. The rest of the time I was there I was sure that it was slowly moving towards me, pretending to be dead, and would slowly enclose it's little semolina body all over me while biting my leg. It didn't though. Some kid kicked it, and sent all my fears away of it being alive or being hungry.
Once Station came in he enjoyed a not so comfortable stretch from a man that was going to the Utah game and was promised a hot dog from Station if he saw him because of his mad stretching skills. I then took him home and drove off to {current residence} to find out that I couldn't take pictures of a friend and his fiancee because the place forgot to mention there being a wedding that day.
{running}
So I drove back up to {hometown} to go to the Utah football game. I forgot to mention that I am now a growing Utah fan. I even sit in the MUSS and cheer and say stuff like "utah man am I" even though I am neither a man, nor am I a student at the U. But I do it. Well. I more or less do it. It is half hearted since I am not a big cheering person. However, every once in a while Station and I get to hear some sort of sentence with multiple swearwords used in various forms towards the other team. Naturally.
The game was great. Station was crazy for still standing for that long and I was full with Sprite. Later we went to In & Out for some food with some friend we saw at the game.
{me pretending I knew what exactly that sign meant}
All in all, Station overdosed on red meat and I will now be not drinking soda for the rest of my life because of the excessive amount I consumed over the weekend. But for now I will get back to school work.
**Semolina is most definitely not the word I was looking for. Salmonella is the word. That spell
check sometimes doesn't get what I am going for.
