I don't know if any of you, whilst driving down the freeway, have/had seen the signs for theLords and Ladies Masquerade that was being held at the beginning of the month, but that is where this all really started. I have always wanted to have a masquerade party, who hasn't? However, I really had no where to start so my dreams were unfulfilled. Until I talked with [bffe's bf] where somehow we came up with the idea of making our own masquerade, at no cost. For a while we just messed around with it. But then one day at his house we went to the backyard and all the sudden it came to real life!! So we started planning. We went and bought some masks and took some pictures. Luckily for us, bffe and I, being that we are wee women who don't really think so much through we didn't worry about actually PUTTING up the lights, but just how great they will look once it is all done, we had two really great hosts. [bffe's bf] and his father were THE greatest people in this world when it comes to making two wacky girls dreams come to life. Aaannnd [bffe's bf's mom] who made THE greatest homemade eclaires....yes you read that correctly. They were beyond wonderful {the hosts included}. I know there is really no way that we could have done anything so great without their help. So after no sleep and a lot of fun we were able to get this dream knocked off the list of things to do. So please enjoy all the many photos and keep your calendar open around this time for a masquerade next year!!!
{I am not putting up ALL the photo's on here, nor on facebook so please don't fret if you don't see your picture, I am probably fixing them being that it was DARK and I only had a measly flash and some awesome christmas lights to light my way}
{Also I uploaded these suckers backwards and there is no way I am doing it again...sorry}
These two were dancing all by themselves when everybody took a break
My two best friends. friend on the left had her sister paint her mask on her face with makeup. She is awesome at what she does.
the gondola, pergola, or trellis...whichever you prefer
remember these pictures are backwards. we had a little dance party after the dance party
a whole lot of fun
the view from the table
my sister took this and did a great job at it except that she cut out the part of me sticking out my stomach to pretend that I am pregnant.
Some really cool cats
Everybody was dancing. even him!!
one of my favorite pictures of that night
Can see the fun radiating off of his body?!?
This is the "masquerade" dance where everybody did a sort of robot dance. can I say that the man who invented this little dance was the one who gave us the hardest time? I tell ya, we throw a party no one can resist.
I also am going to give a shout out to these two who were the ones who provided the awards for the best mask and best dressed contests. Thank you!!
who doesn't like to dance
this little girl's family had probably the best masks all together. They are a force to reckon with next year!
looking deeply into each others eyes
The two GREATEST people in this world
a little portraiture fun
{please double click on this photo so you can really see his mask} I would say these two were pretty dang cute, along with their adorable daughter.
This is the night before, remember it is backwards, we just sat out there and looked at the most amazing sight. Though this picture is great, i didn't take it, it really doesn't do the backyard justice. Thanks again men!!
the multi named thing and {bffe}'s head
One of the men to make our night be one to remember. we were trying to make the lights go into hearts and I was unable so, yet again, he made it happen.
I was really excited.
this is where I was trying to do the hearts. I hid his head for privacy matters. ha.
